A duck decoy is a device for attracting and catching wild duck for food. The origin of duck decoys is not clear, but the earliest known record of one is in a Dutch 1582 engraving by Hans Bol.

The Boarstall Duck Decoy was constructed in the later 17th Century by the Aubrey family and used to be part of the Aubrey's Boarstall estates. Like Boarstall Tower, the Boarstall Duck Decoy is now owned by the National Trust.
